Mirage Excavation LLC is an excavation and grading contractor based in San Tan Valley, Arizona. The company was founded in July 2025 by Dan Renteria, but the story behind it goes back a lot further than that.
Dan grew up in the construction industry. His grandfather was a contractor. His father was a general contractor. Dan worked alongside his dad for years before eventually going out on his own. That upbringing gave him a hands-on understanding of how projects come together from the ground up – literally. He spent his career on the GC side of the business before launching Mirage Excavation, and that background shapes the way the company operates today.
When you’ve spent your whole life on job sites, you learn what matters: showing up when you say you will, communicating clearly, and doing the work right the first time. That’s the approach Dan brings to every project, whether it’s a large-scale commercial build or a residential grading job.

Mirage Excavation LLC exists to provide reliable, high-quality excavation and site work for contractors, developers, and property owners across the East Valley and Central Arizona. The company focuses primarily on commercial projects – working with general contractors on site preparation, grading, trenching, and utility infrastructure – but doesn’t turn away residential work when it’s the right fit.
Dan’s goal is straightforward: grow the company by doing good work, building solid relationships with general contractors, and earning repeat business by being the crew that delivers every time. There’s no complicated mission statement behind it. Just a commitment to doing the job well and building something that lasts.
Based in San Tan Valley, Mirage Excavation LLC serves communities throughout the East Valley and Central Arizona.
